Target Audience feedback- Halfway through

We received feedback from a mixture of boys and girls half way through our production. This part we had only filmed part of the performance with no concept and this is what people said they liked and disliked. For the first improvement, a boy said how he wanted to see more people within the video because shots of the artist can get a bit repetitive. This can be resolved when we complete all our filming and add in conceptual ideas. Another person said how the time lapping could have created some confusion as some shots were from the beggining and some from the front. From this Ellie and I have decided we are going to have the first 20 seconds will create a attitude of the artist, as all the shots will be from behind, creating questions of who this artist may be and then the next 16 seconds will be the artist being established from the front. The lighting that first girl talks about is when the artist has the stars and rain projected on her. We chose to add a few seconds of this projection because all the other projections were happy and bright colours. This meant that by adding a darker projection, the backgrounds would stop being repetitive. When we received feedback that the artist smiled too much, we decided that will change our opening scene based on Miley Cyrus' music video of Wrecking Ball. The beginning of her video its just a close up of her face that really shows the emotion. This concentrates less on the artist dancing and more on the emotion and ability to lip sync to the viewer. The bits that contain the black shots are the parts that haven't yet been filmed. This was the video that the people above had previously watched in order to give their feedback.

  1. WWW- I really like this piece of work, I like how you have put the feedback video first, then wrote about it linking back to the video, and then put the video on the end so the reader can watch the video and reflect on the feed back and your analysis they had previously seen.
WBI- This piece of work would visually look a lot better if you played around with the sizes, so that the videos didn't over lap your labels, and so that your text is in line.
